Fruits de Ponent Cooperative Group has initiated two farms Ribelles (La Noguera) growing mountain apple varieties. In total, has started almost six hectares. The results so far have shown the potential of this crop and good adaptation in height provide good production of good caliber, color, firmness and texture. A group of members of the Cooperativa del Camp d’Alcarrás -corresponent to Fruits de Ponent today visited the estates of these crops, accompanied by the director general, Josep Presseguer, and responsible for the technical, Toni Vítores.
The visit served to check the success we’re having this apple grown in height (about 450 meters) and irrigation canal Segarra-Garrigues.
