At the first Gala of the Best Oils of Catalonia, held on December 13th in La Fatarella (Terra Alta), KYLATT was honored as one of the top five extra virgin olive oils in the ‘Intense Green Fruity’ category for large producers. This recognition highlights oils that stand out for their positive attributes typical of early harvests.
The Best Oils of Catalonia competition, organized by the Department of Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries, will publish a guide in 2025 featuring the ‘extra virgin’ oils from this contest that received ‘premium’ scores by a professional jury composed of various tasting panels.
KYLATT was rated ‘premium’ by Catalonia’s official tasting panel, praised for its aromatic complexity and unique flavor profile. It achieves a perfect balance between bitterness and spiciness, with notes reminiscent of green tomato, almond, and artichoke leaf. This oil is exclusively crafted from meticulously selected Arbequina olives, cold-pressed at the Molí d’Alcanó (Lleida).
In addition to this recent accolade, KYLATT has garnered numerous national and international awards over the past three years, including recognitions in London, Berlin, Paris, New York, Jerusalem, and the 2023 People’s Choice Award at the Les Borges Blanques Oil Fair. It has also been honored for its innovative packaging design at the Los Angeles International Extra Virgin Olive Oil competition.
Certified with the DOP Les Garrigues seal, KYLATT is a shining example of cooperative commitment, produced using olives from the fields of members of the Fruits de Ponent Cooperative Group.
Recently launched at the Llotja de Lleida, this oil from the 2024-2025 campaign is now available at PLUSFRESC Sunka and Camps Elisis stores, Vinicia, BO de Shalom, and Burgués Delicatessen, as well as at Fruits de Ponent stores in Alcanó and Alcarràs, and online at www.kylatt.cat.
