NOVACOOP MEDITERRANEA is the name of the new joint venture between the Fruits de Ponent Cooperative Group and Actel Group. On January 10th, the agreement was announced, which days later, on February 28th, was ratified by the general assemblies of both cooperatives.
NOVACOOP MEDITERRANEA, an agri-food company that combines the cooperative spirit with the richness of Mediterranean agricultural production, will take over the operations of fruit, oil, nuts businesses, as well as managing services to members and energy.
A collaboration aimed at optimizing the profitability of members’ farms through more efficient management and marketing of agricultural products, as well as addressing current high investment needs and providing comprehensive service to the social mass.
The shared cooperative principles between Actel Group and Fruits de Ponent ensure that this initiative is deeply rooted in the territory and in service to society at large.

NOVACOOP MEDITERRANEA will unveil its new image in the coming days. For now, the new website – still under construction – is already available.
On the 22nd of last month, a working session was held at the Monastery of Avellanes attended by members of the new board of directors of NOVACOOP MEDITERRANEA, as well as the governing boards of Actel and Fruits de Ponent, and leaders of the teams of the new company.
