At the Fruit Attraction trade fair, Fruits de Ponent presents its sales strategy for offering fruit every day or the year

The Fruits de Ponent Grup Cooperatiu is present at Fruit Attraction, the international trade fair of the industry in Madrid, to offer its fruit and agri-food products every day of the year. With the title: “Good Fruit, 365 days”, the Group has presented this project to customers, suppliers and visitors, which consists of having a sales catalogue for autumn and winter, in addition to the summer months catalogue, with stone fruits, is already the leader in production of the European Union. Among the productions of the autumn and winter persimmon and pomegranate will appear, but also others such as kiwi. Moreover, the Fruits de Ponent Grup Cooperatiu will offer extra virgin olive oil from Molí d’Alcanó, in addition to other processed products such as fruit juices and syrups.  The managing director of Fruits de Ponent, Mr Josep Presseguer, pointed out that the key factor has been is to bank on diversification, in order to offer a wide range of products throughout the year to customers and to increase the profitability and functionality of the Group’s facilities. We should remember that Fruits de Ponent is a grouping of five cooperatives and that it produces and sells about 65 million kilograms of fruit a year. It is comprised of some 180 family units of producer-partners and has more than 2,500 hectares of cultivated fields in the Valley of the Ebro river.

Its productions have several quality labels and certifications, among these the one for Integrated production, a production of integrated farming in between conventional and organic production. And also the Global GAP certification, a prestigious international standard for good agricultural practices.
