The Guyot pear variety is characterised by its yellow, toasted colour, and for its sweetness and refreshing effect. It is one of the favourite fruits over the summer months.

The pear contains 53% alkaline mineral salts and 47% acid salts. The main vitamins in this fruit are A, C, B1, B2 and PP. Because of its high iron content, it is good for the formation of red blood cells, and is recommended in cases of anaemia and cardiovascular problems.
