The Fruits de Ponent Cooperative Group was honored this Tuesday with recognition as a Bronze Prescribing Partner at the United Nations Global Compact Assembly, which was held at the Madrid Stock Exchange Palace.
The award was presented in the moments prior to the assembly by Sanda Ojiambo, Undersecretary General of the United Nations and CEO of the UN Global Compact, to the president of Fruits de Ponent, Benjamí Ibars. The distinction has taken into account the work of the Cooperative Group in disseminating the values of the Global Compact, as well as for recommending and promoting this network among other companies.
It should be remembered that Fruits de Ponent is a member of the Global Compact, and that, in addition, Josep Presseguer, CEO of the Cooperative Group, is part of its executive committee. The United Nations Global Compact is the largest business initiative to work for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda.
