The Cooperative Group’s Equality Committee establishes the 2022-2025 Plan for Equality

Fruits de Ponent Cooperative Group follows a Plan for Equality between Men and Women, in force during the 2022-2025 period.

 

The activation of this Plan is the result of a process begun on 17 December 2020, by the bargaining committee, which identified the need to perform, throughout 2020, a diagnosis in the area of equality at the companies comprising the group, in addition to an equal pay audit.

The main goals of the 2022-2025 Plan for Equality are:

  • To guarantee a non-discriminatory work environment.
  • To generate a culture of respect for equality between women and men within the organisation.
  • To eliminate all behaviours which could generate sexual discrimination within the company.
  • To take meaningful action to improve the organisation’s performance in equal opportunities.

 

Some of the actions taken are the constitution of the Equality Commission, formed by: Santi Bonet, Xavier Vidal, Antonio Dolcet, Ramon Carrera, Amaya Elbaile, Chon Capdevila, Montse Morillo and Maria Roca. And the appointment of two equality officers, Roser Moliné and Antonia Lopez. The main role of the Commission and officers is to be at the service of all people at the organisation in all equality-related matters and to further the progress and expansion of gender-equal opportunities at the company.

 

Gender equality in the business world is one of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of Agenda 2030, and it is also addressed in Royal Decrees 901/2020 and 902/2020, of 13 October, which regulate equality plans at companies and equal pay between men and women.

In the case of Fruits de Ponent, equality, understood in a broad sense, and diversity management are two of the cooperative group’s strategic pillars.
